Brockworth Parish Council is made up of 4 wards – Moorfield, Horsbere, Glebe and Westfield. There are 17 members on the parish council.  The current council will serve until May 2015 when the next parish council elections take place. The full council meets once a month on a Wednesday evening and meetings are held at the Community Centre. There are currently two committees and these also meet at the Community Centre on a regular basis.  The Parish Council was awarded Quality Council Status in 2011.

The Community Centre was built in 2007 and is run by the Parish Council.  It is regularly used for art classes, keep fit, education classes, meetings and conferences.  Several local businesses rent permanent offices at the Community Centre. The Parish Council employs seven members of staff based at the Community Centre.

The Parish Council also provides two playing fields with playgrounds (Mill Lane and Abbotswood), a burial ground and allotments (run by the Allotments Association) within the parish. The council runs an annual fete for the benefit of the local residents and groups, usually on the first Saturday in July.

Brockworth dog owners can collect dog-waste bags from the Community Centre, each pack costs 50p.

Brockworth Burial Ground

The civil burial ground adjoins St George's Church on Court Road, access is through the wooden gates at the end of the churchyard.  The burial ground was opened in 1996, with a new piece of land extending the area bought in 2010.
